Bewani Oil Palm Plantations (BOPPL) stands in solidarity with the communities of Lumi, West Sepik Province, following the recent devastating landslide that has displaced families and disrupted livelihoods.
With a sense of responsibility and compassion, BOPPL in coordination with the Disaster Response Team of West Sepik Provincial Administration has mobilised emergency relief assistance, delivering essential supplies to affected households as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The contribution focuses on addressing immediate needs, ensuring access to safe and clean water, basic shelter and food during this challenging period.
During the handover of our contributions at the provincial headquarters, Mr. Terence Muge, BOPPL Senior Manager of Plantations, was present to officially deliver the emergency supplies to Mr. Timothy Teklan, Deputy Provincial Administrator (DLLG) and Chairman of the Disaster Response Team.
This timely support reflects BOPPL’s enduring commitment to the wellbeing of its surrounding communities. In moments of crisis, we believe in acting swiftly and with heart, supporting not just recovery, but resilience. BOPPL hopes that this assistance will provide meaningful relief to those impacted while complementing ongoing response efforts on the ground.
As always, BOPPL remains dedicated to standing alongside our communities, especially in times of hardship.
